56th Ave. / Quebec to Havana

On the 56th Avenue from Quebec St. to Havana St. project, Geocal provided geotechinical evaluations for the widening of 56th Avenue as well as reconstruction of two bridges over Chester Avenue and a canal. This project was constructed to improve the flow of traffic on the NE side of Denver between Northfield and towards the airport.

The geotechnical engineering work conducted by Geocal consisted of subsurface investigation, laboratory testing, and geotechnical recommendations for bridge foundations at both bridges and several retaining walls along the corridor, as well as pavement design parameters. Geocal’s staff also performed the materials testing on the project and the materials documentation.
